YCYH Terms & Conditions

We cannot accept any booking unless accompanied by the £50 deposit. We will notify you when your booking has been accepted. On the XPLoRE holidays, activities vary in price and depending on your child’s choice there may be a small additional cost. Final information including confirmation of your child’s activities will be sent out in early June.

The remaining balance of fees must be paid by Saturday 25th June 2016. Failure to pay by this due date may result in cancellation of your child’s holiday. If you cancel after this date your fees cannot be returned. Payments are welcome on a monthly basis should you wish to spread the cost.

In the event of any holiday having to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, or unforeseen circumstances arising beyond our control, we agree to return to you any fees already paid.

Specialist activities only take place under the supervision of fully qualified instructors from activity centres, which are licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. Whilst every effort will be made to have qualified staff available, we reserve the right to withdraw any activity if safety standards cannot be guaranteed. All recommended safety equipment is always worn. Participants for water based activities should be able to swim 25m in light clothing.

It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to advise us in advance of any disabilities, social or behavioural problems that their child currently has, or has recently experienced, which may affect them or other people during the holiday. We operate a behaviour policy to which all young people must agree before the start of the holidays. Part of this includes a strict no smoking policy. Under no circumstances during the holiday should any person be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, except for medical reasons. In the event of a serious incident we reserve the right to send a child home. This will be the responsibility of the parent/carer to collect their child at their own expense. Parents/carers will also be required to pay for any deliberate and wilful damage
caused by their child.

YCYH and all guests are covered for public liability. Guests are not however, insured against personal accident or injury as a result of an accident, or loss of possessions. We therefore suggest those who feel that additional insurance is necessary make their own arrangements.

We will hold your details on file, but will not release the information to any third party.

We have a Safeguarding Policy which aims to promote good practice by our leaders so that children and young people can safely take part in all our programmes. All leaders are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service.

YCYH would like to take photographs/video recordings of your child during the course of Whithaugh 2016 for promotional purposes. These images may appear in our printed publications, video publications and our website/facebook page. Please contact us, if you do not want your child to be photographed/videoed. We cannot take responsibility for any photographs/video recordings that are put onto social networking sites by guests on the holidays.
