As we look back, since this life changing ministry began in 1944 as a York based boys camp, it has been truly amazing, not only to see so many children and young people make commitments to the Lord, but to see the impact of them continuing to follow His ways many years later, some now in Christian leadership.
Our mission is simple: “To share the gospel with young people, and to equip them for Christian living”. We keep thanking God for the continued growth we have seen over the last few years, opening doors for us to work with and share the gospel with more children and young people.
Our all year round ministry is only possible because of generous gifts and donations from churches, organizations and individuals. This enables us to keep prices as low as possible for all children and young people wanting to experience our holidays, events and programmes. All our leaders also pay for their involvement to further suppress the costs.
The ‘Jim McNaughton Special Fund’ is available to provide extra financial support for children and young people from low-income families/single parent families, to have equal opportunities to be involved. Click here for more information.
As well as your prayers, we do rely on financial support to make our work sustainable. Below are a few ideas of how you can contribute, enabling us to reach many more young people.
YCYH can claim back tax on any UK donation, if you are a tax payer. The process is simple. For every £1 you donate, we can claim 20p from the Inland Revenue. This means that a gift of £10.00 can be turned into £12 through the gift aid scheme. All you need to do is fill in the gift aid declaration form, and return to the YCYH Office. Click here to download the form.
It’s really simple to set up a contribution. If you wish to make a regular or one off donation to the work of YCYH, please use the bankers order form by clicking here.
If you would like further information on our finances, then please don’t hesitate to contact the YCYH Office.
